Chaos theory can be summarised in the words of Edward Lorenz: “When the present determines the future but the approximate present does not approximately determine the future.”
Chaos continues to reign supreme in our world as we hurtle towards Autumn 2020.
We are in a betwixt and between state, a time of liminality. We are moving from the end of a world order depicted by Saturn and Pluto colliding on January 12th in Capricorn, sign of systems, structures, leaders and world orders to the Great Mutation on the 21st December when Jupiter and Saturn meet in the revolutionary, philanthropic, radical system crashing sign Aquarius which ushers in the Aquarian Age proper from 2021.
What we don’t know yet is what the 2020’s are going to look like.
What we do know is it will be very different and the times will demand that we too are very different.
This in- between time from September to December is looking challenging for the UK and other countries alike. There could be times when we may be overwhelmed by the seemingly never ending eruptions, outbursts, dismantling of systems and structures and clashes between ordinary folk and the wider, decaying establishment.
It would be completely understandable to feel utter despair at the collapsing way of the world as we have known it; that there is no sense to the world events unfolding in 2020. There is a purpose to the chaos and as our world turns into 2021/2 and beyond that will become more evident.
September is a significant marker in the sand as Mars retrogrades in Aries from 9th September to 14th November and then proceeds to make significant and challenging contact with the triumvirate powerhouse in Capricorn, giving you a chance to clear out the old and assert your new place in your world on your terms, as you want it.
Retrograde phases give us reflective time to consider what we want to do going forward as the original plan has altered or disappeared completely.
It will be a time for you to fine tune, re-organise and re-structure fundamental aspects of your life. By the end of the year you will be able to release and liberate those ideas, mobilise energy and awaken to a new dimension of your self expression with new ideas and possibilities as Jupiter and Saturn move into futuristic Aquarius. For all of us it demands a paradigm shift in terms of the world of work, the structure and organisation of education and school, healthcare, the high street and where and how we live and organise our lives.
It’s been 32 years (1988) since Mars last retrograde in Aries. Consider what came afterwards, with help from Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn, by 1989 it culminated in one of the most famous scenes in recent history – the fall of the Berlin Wall. The wall came down partly because of a bureaucratic accident but it fell amid a wave of revolutions that left the Soviet-led communist bloc teetering on the brink of collapse and helped define a new world order. We are in a very similar moment, covid is the smashing ball on the walls of perception which are now are collapsing globally.
From September 9th until November 14th 2020 we will witness an upsurge in personal, national and international energy fuelled by frustration and even rage that things feel stalled by the virus and worsened by the behaviour of those in positions of power and leadership. In the UK the dawning realisation of the toxic mix of a Hard Brexit and Covid 19 may awaken and mobilise the public to protest and demand something different at the last minute. Check out the 3.5% movement. Looking at Johnsons chart retrograde Mars sits in the seventh house of open enemies and public relations and it leaves me wondering if he will exit office during this time. Mars conjoining with the formidable planet Eris will unleash much energy, anger and fury towards unfairness, denial of liberties, oppressive controls as we travel through the autumn months. There will be a dawning realisation that we are being manipulated and the truth continually is distorted. This virus and its impact will not go away lightly.
